See they match!

Cody comes running in to the bedroom at 6 am yesterday morning bright as a ray of sunshine and full of energy, "Look Mommy I have Daddy's eyes" and then preceded over to a sleeping Charlie pulling his eyes open "See they match" with such a huge smile on his face. I'm surprised Charlie didn't wet the bed!

My challenge!

I was sitting on my butt watching TV while Parker slept and Cody sat with his map of America (Thanks Christa) and a commercial came on for www.discoveryhealth.com its a challenge to spend 8 weeks getting into shape and loose weight so I log on according to there site I only need to loose 4lbs to get to my ideal weight for my height and body frame. They have exercise routines online with videos to watch and full instruction so you can't go wrong. I think I can do this they expect a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise per day and with school starting back up tomorrow I think I can actually pull this off and well lets face it if I loose a few extra pounds in the process then YAY I am really excited at this thought so tomorrow I get to go shopping for my new meal plans for the next 8 weeks. if it works I will stick at it to remain healthy. I will keep you all posted. They also offer a 30 day free pass to Bally total fitness only downside to that is that we don't have one in the state of Utah! Otherwise I would be there daily!

Is this how a guy feels?

I am sitting here on my laptop while Charlie watches what could be considered one of the worst movies of all time! When it occurred to me, Is this how a guy feels watching a chick flick??? I may be a little more considerate with what I watch on TV.

Well for a little while at least!

Gastroparesis.

Cody has been doing well but constantly struggles with his battle against Gastroparesis. We (Charlie and I ) are still learning how to handle this disease Cody refuses to eat and on the seldom occasion he does its generally just a few bites at any one time He doesn't get the usual treats that most 4 year olds would get and more often than not he will say no to chocolate as he understand it hurts his tummy. He maintains weight well by drinking carnation instant breakfast with full fat milk and a few ounces of V8 juices in a day .
Cody had a great Christmas enjoying all of his gifts (many came from friends) and he especially enjoyed making a birthday cake for baby Jesus.

Gastroparesis
, also called delayed gastric emptying, is a medical condition consisting of a paresis (partial paralysis) of the stomach ("gastro-"), resulting in food remaining in the stomach for a longer period of time than normal. Normally, the stomach contracts to move food down into the small intestine for digestion. The vagus nerve controls these contractions. Gastroparesis may occur when the vagus nerve is damaged and the muscles of the stomach and intestines do not work normally. Food then moves slowly or stops moving through the digestive tract.
